The forearm tattoo is probably the most popular places for men to have a tattoo. There are many great tattoos designs that can be placed on the forearm, such as lettering, foreign lettering or symbols, decorative tattoos (such as dragons, skulls, snakes etc.), tribal banding etc.
There is ample space on the forearm for the tattoo artist to create a design to fit the space. Increasing the size of small tattoos or stretching large tattoos ensures that the design maximizes the space.
The forearm tattoo has the advantage of being easily covered by a shirt, if necessary (for example, during a job interview). However forearm tattoos can be shown off when wearing a T-shirt or other short sleeved (or rolled up) clothing.
There are few restrictions with forearm tattoos. Armbands can be designed specifically for the forearm, or tattoos could even represent a photograph or even your favorite painting. Lettering and symbols can also be placed either vertically or horizontally through the forearm.
