The site contains a number of articles, YouTube videos and links to other interesting websites which will hopefully inspire you with some of the different styles and designs that may be of particular interest to you.

As the name suggests – a forearm tattoo is a tattoo design that covers a large portion of the arm from the wrist to the elbow.

Forearm Tattoos range considerably in size from small discrete image designs, quarter sleeve to full-half sleeve and are not for the faint-hearted.  They may also appear on the inner or outer portions of the arm.

Having any sort of tattoo is a huge commitment and once inked is pretty difficult to hide or disguise.  If you change your mind, it is nearly impossible to remove a tattoo on the forearm, so make sure you are 100% comfortable with the idea before making the commitment – there is no hurry to get it done.

Once you have decided to have a tattoo, the next most important thing is to make sure you carefully choose a design that reflects you and your personality.

Take as much time as you can to trawl the internet or magazines for a good design (the sites listed and linked below literally have over ten thousand of easy to search designs to browse and print off).  Find a few designs you like and like and take some time to decide your preference.

Spend as much as you can on a good reputable artist to transfer the design to your forearm or forearms – these tattoos will be around for quite a while and are unlike more hidden designs which could be hidden elsewhere on your body.

The forearm tattoo is probably the most popular places for men to have a tattoo.  There are many great tattoos designs that can be placed on the forearm, such as lettering, foreign lettering or symbols, decorative tattoos (such as dragons, skulls, snakes etc.), tribal banding etc.

There is ample space on the forearm for the tattoo artist to create a design to fit the space. Increasing the size of small tattoos or stretching large tattoos ensures that the design maximizes the space.

The forearm tattoo has the advantage of being easily covered by a shirt, if necessary (for example, during a job interview).  However forearm tattoos can be shown off when wearing a T-shirt or other short sleeved (or rolled up) clothing.

There are few restrictions with forearm tattoos.  Armbands can be designed specifically for the forearm, or tattoos could even represent a photograph or even your favorite painting.  Lettering and symbols can also be placed either vertically or horizontally through the forearm.
